Introducing Our New Momentum Membership!

Progress. Fast and Affordable

If you’re a new guitarist you’ve probably thought to yourself at some point “where the heck do I even start?” or maybe you’re just plain frustrated because you’re not making the progress you want. String Theory offers a way for you to transform from that place of overwhelm and frustration to a place of confidence and focus, where you have a clear path that takes you step by step to help you reach your goals at your own pace. Where you feel supported and connected with other musicians, students, and parents who are going through the same situation. Not only that, but you’ll finally have a sense of momentum because you’re actually making real progress, fast! And you actually have an instructor that works with you and your individual needs. All while saving twice as much time and money as you would taking traditional private lessons

Why is this important?

There’s nothing more frustrating than putting time and effort into your instrument, only to end up feeling like you’re not making any progress. You’re feeling like maybe you’re not practicing the right way and you’re overwhelmed by all of the different information being thrown at you on the internet. Traditional lessons could be helpful, but they can be expensive and take up a lot of your time. Getting ready, packing up your gear, driving to and from, etc. This all builds up quickly and can end up taking as much as an hour or more of your time. Just going out in public on its own can feel exhausting at times; talk about a motivation killer. With our guitar membership, you’ll finally have a clear plan of action on how to reach your guitar goals quickly, and the best part is; you can do your lessons straight from home, wear whatever you’d like (even your PJs!), and avoid wasting any of your time on preparation or traffic!

What is possible with this process?

Imagine if there was a system for guitarists that not only laid out exactly what you need to focus on to start making progress, but also walked you through every step of the way until you reached your guitar goals and became the player you’ve always dreamed yourself to be. Well, I'm happy to tell you that system exists, and I've called it the Momentum Path! I’ve gone through every important moment and milestone that it takes to become a great player, and broken it all down into 5 unique levels to make it clear what you need to do, and when you need to do it. Paired with an intuitive instructor who works with your individual needs, and access to a community of other students and musicians; you’ll finally have the support you need to start making real progress, and have fun while doing it!

What the Membership Includes:

Live guitar lesson each week

Complete your lesson from anywhere you’d like with your computer, tablet, or mobile phone. Each lesson is one on one, and features multiple camera angles and close-ups of the fretboard and picking hands so you won’t miss a thing! Students will also have a direct line of contact with their instructors and are encouraged to reach out to their instructor any time whether they need help or just have a basic question. All of the benefits of private lessons, without wasting your time, money, or momentum!

Downloadable lesson recordings

With our online lessons, each session is recorded and stored in an archive that is fully accessible to each student. This makes it super easy to go back and rewatch a lesson if you ever forget something or just need to get a tricky part down. Playback speed can also be slowed down to make sure you don’t miss a single note. Rewatch any lesson as many times as you’d like or even download the video file to keep forever!

Progress tracker roadmap + rewards!

Having a plan of action is one of the most important steps in making progress quickly in your guitar journey, and being able to see and feel the progress you’re making is also critical in maintaining your motivation. At the beginning of each level, you’ll receive your very own progress roadmap to keep track of your progress and check off each of your milestones as you reach them. Once you achieve all of the milestones in a given level, you’ll be sent a reward for all of your hard work! Rewards will increase in value each time you advance to the next level!

Access to Theory Nerds community

Each student gets access to our Theory Nerds (Facebook, Discord, or Patreon) group, where they can feel a part of a community where they’ll be surrounded by fellow musicians of different ages and skill levels, and can share their experiences and progress they’ve gained along their journey.

Live Q&A each month

At the start of each month, a live Q&A lesson will be held on the Theory Nerds group page. All students and parents are welcome (and encouraged!) to tune in each month to ask any questions they have, review what they’ve learned, and maybe even learn something new!

Benefits for Parents: Be Your Child's Biggest Fan

With traditional private lessons, it’s so easy as a parent to feel excluded from your child’s musical journey. Lessons are often held in small rooms so you usually have to wait outside or in the car during the lesson. As a parent, it’s incredibly hard to leave your child alone with any individual, even for just 30 minutes. With our online lessons, the lesson can be completed from anywhere and parents are more than welcome to sit in and join any lesson they would like. Parents also benefit from the 24/7 direct contact link with the instructor and recorded lesson archives. This way you’ll have total peace of mind that your child is in a safe environment where they can thrive and grow and not be exposed to any negative or harmful teachings/opinions. Last but not least, parents are also invited to join our Theory Nerds community where they can connect with other parents and musicians and watch the live Q&As each month!

More Benefits of Online Lessons
  1. One HUGE benefit of online lessons is being able to keep and use your momentum after each lesson. The end of the lesson is one of those moments where our motivation is at its highest. We’re present in the moment, instrument in hand, and have just learned some new material. The worst thing you can do at this point is kill your momentum by coming to a full stop, packing up your instrument, and moving on. By the time you get home, your motivation will likely be significantly lower and your instrument will end up in the corner of the room somewhere, still in its case. Sound familiar? With online lessons, you’ll already be home and comfortable the moment the lesson is over, and can take full advantage of all that momentum you just built!

  2. Have you ever been ill or symptomatic and had to cancel something you wanted/needed to do out of fear of getting someone sick? online lessons make it possible to still make your lesson without putting anyone at risk, including yourself!

  3. Do you ever have that irrational urge to bring your pet everywhere you go, especially when you can't? No? Just me? Well, online lessons make it possible to enjoy your lesson with your furry friends at your side. This is a small perk, but can be a big deal for some of us!

What is the price?

Traditional in-person private lessons can range anywhere from $50/hr to $70/hr. Once you factor in gas costs from driving to and from your lessons, you could be spending up to $150 or more each month! These prices are ridiculous for only four or five 30min lessons, and make it extremely difficult for musicians to find private lessons that are affordable and accessible to them. This is exactly why our guitar membership isn’t anywhere near that price. Each month you’ll get:

  • Up to 6 lessons including the live Q&A

  • the Progress Roadmap

  • Level-up rewards

  • Lesson recordings

  • Access to Theory Nerds Community

All for only $100/month!
