I’m your friendly neighborhood musician!
My name is Damon Culbertson, and I’m a professional guitarist and music producer. Music has always had such an important role in my life and I’ve been blessed to do what I love for a living and share my passion with my students. More importantly, I’m only human and I’m a musician just like you. At some point, I too have dealt with the same struggles and questions that you might be dealing with while trying to learn your instrument. I come from a very musical family and had an incredible amount of support from my parents when I was first starting out, but we were also a pretty low-income family so lessons were out of the question for quite some time. Eventually, my parents were able to get me into some private lessons, but the instructor I had, despite his skill, just wasn’t the best fit for me and the price just wasn’t sustainable long term. After a certain point, I didn’t have any support with my progression anymore and had to self-teach myself the majority of the way. Along my journey, I’ve been able to figure out what exactly works and doesn’t work when it comes to making progress, and eventually got into teaching and sharing my knowledge with others. However, I wanted to create a more streamlined system that walks you through exactly how to reach your music goals, not only quickly but easily! And all without breaking the bank. With that, String Theory was born! A way for musicians to get the support they need and start seeing real progress, no matter where they are or how their finances look.
